IRC is Go! 

The much anticipated IRC is go, with 13 member clubs forming one common entity to better promote and manage what was previously known as Tier 2 in Motorsport circles.

A collective working together to provide an entertainment show based on “more than motorsport” is how the IRC sees itself going forward. 

The IRC is has been formed with the integrating of circuit operating clubs and racing classes to give a better insight to each other needs and trying to mould a sustainable future for this level of motorsport. 

President Dave Dovey of SCRANZ is joined by John Clunie of Pro7 Racing, Grant Brennan of GTRNZ, Melanie Coleman of Taupo Car Club and Julian Hardy of Motorsport Manawatu in creating the executive. 

The executive are working through the many challenges of creating an organization like this but are focused on the end goal of the IRC member clubs. 

A themed series based around “thunder” has been created with the launch of the IRC website highlighting to the public and competitors event details, photos of all the drivers in the series, plus promotion of each of the member clubs. 

Whatever you do this summer make sure you head to the track for the IRC “Summer of Thunder” tour.
